Our wedding cakes are priced based on the number of servings required, design complexity, and the time invested in their creation.  The more detailed and elaborate your wedding cake, the more time it takes to create, the more it will cost.  The final price is determined by multiplying the price per serving by the number of servings you require.  Don't be fooled by those who charge a lower starting price,  as you will find most bakeries' pricing is fairly close.  If there is a huge difference in starting price, you are most likely paying an upcharge for things as simple as tinting the icing a color, changing the cake flavor on a tier, or decorations that we include in the cost of the cake  OR for work that is not the quality you would expect to receive.  So it is best to narrow down which bakeries you like and meet with no more than 2.

Current Wedding Cake Pricing:
Simple yet Elegant Wedding Cakes start at $7.50 per serving.  To figure the cost, multiply the required number of servings by the cost per serving.  Of course, fondant-covered cakes are extra.   If you are a bride on a tight budget, you'll want to plan early, keep your event within a reasonable number of attendees, and keep things simple.  Remember, the more details you incorporate, the more work it becomes, and the cost will undoubtedly reflect the time and energy spent on creating your design.

For instance:
Buttercream decorated cake for 100 guests  
100 servings  x $7.50 cost per serving = $750.00

Fondant Covered wedding cakes are $3.50 additional per serving (starting price would be $10.50) .  When your wedding cake is covered in fondant, it will still have its normal helping of buttercream under the fondant.  This is so that if you have guests that does not like fondant, they can gently peel the fondant back and enjoy our delicious buttercream.

Cutting Guide

This guide shows how to cut round wedding tiers into pieces approximately 1 in. x 2 in. by two layers high (about 4 in.). Even if a larger serving size is desired, the order of cutting is still the same. The first step in cutting is to remove the top tier, and then begin the cutting with the 2nd tier, followed by the 3rd, 4th, and so on. The top tier is usually saved for the first anniversary, so it is not calculated into the serving amount.

Round Tiers:
Move in two inches from the tier's outer edge; cut a circle and then slice 1 in. pieces within the circle. Now move in another 2 in., cut another circle, slice 1 in. pieces, and so on until the tier is completely cut. The center core of each tier and the small top tier can be cut into 3rds, 4ths, and 6ths, depending on size.

Dessert Bars start at $22.95 per guest. The dessert bar allows for three servings per guest. NOT three (3) of each item, but three items total. On the dessert bar/table, you can offer your guests an array of sweet treats and dessert items that will appeal to everyone in attendance.
 

If Sweet Confections Cakes is supplying display stands, trays, or table decorations/scaping, additional fees will be incurred. In addition, there is a setup fee and a delivery fee.  Dessert bars can be absolutely beautiful, but they are very time-consuming to make look beautiful and stunning.

Bring out the French Macaroons, Mini cupcakes, and apple pies! Our dessert tables go beyond the typical tiered wedding cake; they elevate the sweet tooth into an absolute art form.

Signature Cheesecake!  Cheesecake wedding cakes, we can create tiered wedding cakes made of cheesecake and decorated to look like a beautiful wedding cake covered in our custom recipe buttercream  and even cover in fondant if your design requires Fondant.   Sweet Confections Cakes offers an option to serve our Signature cheesecake cake during your big event, you can have the best of both worlds some cake and some cheesecake all in one bite. Pricing & Flavor  We can create tiered cheesecake with sizes ranging from 6" through 12", with endless options for displaying include fresh fruit, wedding flowers, or wedding cake toppers.

Retaining Our services
Reservations are taken on a first come first served basis. Wedding cakes require $200 non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-negotiable deposit.  Your order is not confirmed until we have received your required deposit; final payment (balance) is due 30 days prior to event.
